Description of Significance THE DRUMRIGHT HOUSE WAS HOME TO LOCAL OILMAN, AARON DRUMRIGHT. DRUMRIGHT WOULD EVENTUALLY FOUND THE CITY BY THE SAME NAME AND WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN DEVELOPING THE DOWNTOWN BUSINESS DISTRICT AND IN THE BUILDING OF SCHOOLS AND CHURCHES IN THE AREA. HIS SON, EVERETT DRUMRIGHT, WOULD LATER BECOME UNITED STATES AMBASSADOR TO CHINA. THIS IS THE ONLY EXTANT HOUSE IN THE AREA ASSOCIATED WITH MR. DRUMRIGHT. THIS HOUSE IS NOT ARCHITECTURALLY SIGNIFICANT AND HAS NO DISTINCT ARCHITECTURAL STYLE. LISTED IN NATIONAL REGISTER 8/17/1982.
